A Piano Life Saver System can prevent damage and maintains pitch stability in your piano!

The Piano Life Saver System maintains the soundboard and other wood parts in your piano at 6.5% to 7% moisture content continuously.  When the soundboard is kept at a constant moisture level, shrinking and swelling are minimized and the pitch remains stable. This Chart demonstrates how drastically pitch can change when your piano is exposed to fluctuations in the humidity during seasonal weather changes.
Heating and Air Conditioning Relying on a humidifier that is attached to your furnace, or depending on your air conditioner to maintain a stable humidity doesn't meet the needs of your piano.  Air conditioners turn on and off to maintain a desirable temperature.  When this temperature is achieved, the unit turns off, no matter what humidity level is attained.  Most furnace humidifiers have the same limitation: when the furnace has achieved the desired temperature, it and the associated humidifier turn off, no matter what humidity level is attained.		When you maintain your piano at the recommended level of humidity, it will stay in tune longer and better.
